Excuse me, I couldn't help but wonder about something that I recently stumbled upon. The idea of naming a planet - specifically, can one actually go about naming their own planet? I mean, with the vast expanse of space and the multitude of celestial bodies that exist, is there a formal process or is it simply a matter of one's own creativity and imagination? Could someone legally declare ownership and assign a name to a planet, or is that strictly reserved for astronomical organizations and the scientific community? I'm genuinely curious about this and would appreciate any insight you could provide.
